Project Media and Information Literacy Initiative (MILI) for Moldova

Implemented by DVV International in partnership with the Association of Independent Press (API) and the Youth Media Centre (YMC) with the financial support of the German Federal Foreign Office

Implementation period: August 1, 2024 – December 31,  2025

Project goal: Strengthening democratic resilience of the Moldovan society in the face of Russian propaganda and fake-news attacks

Improving the media literacy of Moldovan adults in general, with a focus on the rural population in the north of the country

  1. Developing a set of support materials for 44 local mentors;

  2. Running two training programs (ToT) for more than 40 local mentors;

  3. Conducting over 80 thematic media and information literacy sessions in 22 localities in 9 districts of Northern Moldova;

  4. Conducting of media workshops "Dialogue between generations";

  5. Media contest and an award ceremony.
