Reducing Vulnerabilities to Disinformation of Young People in Gagauz Autonomy and Taraclia District of Republic of Moldova

  • To mitigate the impact of disinformation on the inhabitants of the Gagauz autonomy and Taraclia district;

  • To promote critical analysis of information and information from credible sources. 

  • Produce and promote a cycle of 3 short videos in Russian and in Gagauz with recommendations for critical consumption of information;

  • Organize and conduct a cycle of 4 discussions with pupils of graduating high school classes and students from colleges and universities from the towns of Gagauz autonomy (Comrat, Vulcănești and Ceadâr-Lunga) and from Taraclia town about the impact of disinformation on the lives of young people;

  • Organize and conduct 8 meetings and discussions on the critical consumption of information with young people and other inhabitants of the largest villages of the Gagauz Autonomy (6 meetings) and from Taraclia district (2 meetings);

  • Organize and conduct a thematic competition for pupils and students from the Gagauz autonomy and Taraclia district to promote critical thinking and critical consumption of information;

  • Production and publication on social media of 10 cards with messages to verify information from credible sources and beware of information manipulation;

  • Publication of articles on www.stopfals.md to refute viral fakes in target regions;

  • Publication and distribution of a leaflet in Romanian, Russian and Gagauz with the steps to take to avoid becoming a victim of information manipulation.
